Family Vacation 2014 #4

These pictures are kind of dark - but I had to write a post about this day! We made reservations at T-Rex at Downtown Disney. It was AMAZING! We had so much fun eating at this restaurant! It is definitely a fun boy restaurant - but the girls had just as much fun! There is a meteor shower every 15 minutes and the dinosaurs all around the restaurant start moving and making noises.

We had lunchtime reservations - so it was a little less crowded than at dinnertime. The staff encouraged us to walk around and explore the restaurant.

We had not planned on eating here until after we got there - and there were only two reservations left for the entire time we were there! We grabbed one of them and are so glad we did! I guess most people who plan there Disney vacations make their dining reservations way in advance. We were so excited that we were able to go!

Why, yes that is Martin hanging out of a dinosaur's mouth!

And I think this one is Aaron. It's hard to tell!

If you ever have the chance to do a Disney vacation - T-Rex is a MUST! So much fun!
They also have a Build-a-Dino workshop in the back of the T-REX store. We came home with two new dinosaurs. Rosalie and Jonathan decided to spend some of their money on their own build-a-dino.

Family Vacation 2014 #3

LEGOLAND!!!!! You know we had to go to Legoland this time! It was another wonderful weather day in sunny Florida and we had a blast exploring Legoland for the first time!

The lego creations were amazing!

We found out that Rosalie has some pretty good driving instincts! She was surrounded by little boy drivers and was the only one out there that could keep her little car moving! We had so much fun watching her drive!

Legoland is a cute little park with lots of fun rides! We really enjoyed our day there - and the adults were happy that the hours were only 10-6. We were only on our 2nd park day and already getting tired!
Rosalie rode all of the roller coasters - and loved them. We made Jonathan ride them - and he was okay with it - got off of them and said they were awesome, but wouldn't get back on it. Good times!!

Family Vacation 2014 #2

This is what we did on days that we didn't go to the Disney Parks. It was nice to have days off between park days - walking around the parks is hard work!!

The water was pretty cold at the beginning of our vacation, but by the end the days were getting warmer and the water was great! We were only a couple of miles from Disney property - and really enjoyed this nice home! If you are like us and enjoy going to Disney - but don't want to pay such high rates to stay on property - we've used the same company twice and have been so happy with the places that we've stayed. I completely understand the convenience of staying on property - and would love to do that sometime - but we loved having such a large house with room to spread out and the private pool was great too!

On our 2nd day of vacation after the pool fun, Rich and I were able to go out on a date! It was such a fun night of great food and live entertainment! We are so thankful that my parents were with us and took care of the children for us, so that we could get away!

Family Vacation 2014 #1

We got up when it was still very dark on May 15th and made about a ten hour drive down to Orlando, Florida to Walt Disney World! We rented a gorgeous vacation home that had 4 bedrooms and a pool in the backyard. We met my Mom and Dad and our 10 day adventure began!

On our first full day we headed to Hollywood Studios. It was Star Wars weekend, folks … and with 3 boys - you have to know we couldn't miss that!

Rosalie's favorite part about Hollywood Studios was the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground. We had to visit that at least 3 times!
The three boys remember our trip to Disney 3 years ago - but Rosalie doesn't remember it at all - so it was a lot of fun introducing Disney to my girl!

Her next favorite was the Disney Junior Playhouse show.
It was so much fun to watch her watching the show!
And you know…it just wouldn't be right to visit the Pixar part of the park and not hang out with the green army men!

Even on Star Wars weekend, the waits weren't too bad. We started and ended the day in the 60s - the weather was great! Martin's and Aaron's favorite ride was The Rockin' Roller Coaster. They rode it 3 times! I rode it once with Jonathan - but he was terrified - so I was nervous for him. None of the adults would ride the Tower of Terror with Martin, so we let him ride it by himself. Martin loves all of the rides! Oh - and all 4 of the children love Star Tours. Rosalie was the secret rebel spy the 2nd time they rode it. I didn't ride it - so I am not sure exactly what that means - but all of you Disney fans probably know exactly what I am talking about. You can explain it to me later.
Rosalie did ask if we could go back to the house and go swimming about midway through the day. We all had a great day at Hollywood Studios!
